The Beatles - With A Little Help From My Friends

Happy birthday to Ringo Starr who is 72 years old today. The former Beatle, known to his parents as Richard Starkey, may not be the best drummer in rock history, but he's definitely the most famous of drummers past and present. And to quote the late, great comedian Bill Hicks, "The Beatles were so high they even let Ringo sing a few tunes". Here's one of them, the amazingly good "With A Little Help From My Friends" from 1967's masterpiece Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. What a song this is!

Listen

The Beatles, holding marching band instruments and wearing colorful uniforms, stand near a grave covered with flowers that spell "Beatles". Standing behind the band are several dozen famous people.
