New Billy Bragg track for free download

"Handyman Blues" is the surprising new Billy Bragg single, in every way a domestically themed song about struggling with hanging up curtains or understanding how a screwdriver actually works. This is far removed from Bragg's politically themed songs that have made him famous in the first place. It's a great song nevertheless, a little ditty that reminds me a bit about Nick Lowe. Bragg gives the song away for free via his website as a taster for his new album Tooth & Nail that is to be released on March 18. The Joe Henry-produced album features a version of Woody Guthrie's "I Ain't Got No Home" and 11 Bragg originals, two of them co-written with Henry, and with song titles like "There Will Be A Reckoning" and "No One Knows Nothing Anymore" the album should be sounding like Bragg as we know him no matter the odd song about the puzzles of changing a lightbulb. By following the link below you can download "Handyman Blues" for free and also watch a short video of Bragg presenting the album, playing parts of this and another unnamed song. Sounds great.
